Pioneer DJM2000 Launch with Lightsounds

Pioneer unveiled their brand new mixer, DJM2000, at the Lightsounds store in Leichhardt last Thursday to demonstrate what the hottest clubs in Sydney will be sporting in the coming months.

Lightsounds DJs Raine Supreme and Typhonic began the demonstration, dropping some driving dubstep whilst talking the crowd through the tricks and new benefits of the mixer on the flat screens which were placed around the venue. Pioneer DJ Playmate got the crowd jumping later in the evening to some pounding tech house.

Faces spotted amongst the crowd were Modular Records’ DJ Kato, Anna Lunoe, Smoking Joe Mekhael, and DJ 2-tones to name a few. The Red Bull girls also popped in to make sure the energy juice flowed.

The giveaways, Tiger beers and cupcakes, from BB’s cupcakes, made sure everyone left with a smile on their face. Major Prize winners Angelina Patapova and Ella Plane received Pioneer CD Bags valued at $180, whilst other prizes included UDG courier bags, Lightsounds record bags, t-shirts and CDs.

“I’ve been eyeing out the DJM2000 for a while, after seeing it in action it became more necessary to get one. I got a chance to play around with it after the demo and loved the white noise and beat juggling features.” Asher Robinson, from Sydney Night Owl, says.
