Sanyo PLC-HF15000L available next month

SANYO, one of the world's leading consumer electronics companies and largest manufacturers of LCD and DLP projectors, this month introduced a new professional projector, the PLC-HF15000L, with Native 2K (2048 x 1080) resolution and 15,000 ANSI Lumens, to the Australian market. The PLC-HF15000L's new high brightness, high resolution optical engine ensures accurate projection of detailed images with outstanding colour depth in even the most challenging of environments from smoke filled stages in large venues to e-cinema, rental and simulation applications.

Integrated QuaDrive™ technology results in increased colour purity, more realistic colour reproduction and an increase in image brightness. In addition, the available colours that can be produced by the projector expands by 20%. Native 2K resolution (2048 x 1080 pixels) ensures accurate projection of detailed images, while inorganic LCD panels produce intense blacks to deliver a stunning contrast ratio of 3000:1, and are less susceptible to the impact of UV light to extend the lifecycle of the projector.

"The Native 2K resolution combined with SANYO QuaDrive™ technology allows us to offer advanced display capabilities and brightest Full HD LCD in the large-format projector market," said SANYO Group Manager for the Commercial Channel, Peter Huljich. "We are offering a compelling reason for operators of large venues to upgrade to the latest technology by having a product that offers not only the best in imaging, but also helps combat issues they face including projection in smoky environments."

The PLC-HF15000L is equipped with a 'Hot Swap' system that allows individual lamps to be replaced in the event one of the four 380 Watt lamps fail; the system automatically switches over to the functioning lamps, allowing the presentation to continue without interruption. The 'Hot Swap Lamp System' then allows a change of the failed lamp while the projector is still running. Low total cost of ownership is further advanced through SANYO's Active Maintenance Cleaner, which aids long-term reliability and reduces maintenance costs by automatically cleaning the filter on a regular basis and enables up to 12,000 hours of maintenance-free filter usage. The optional smoke filter prevents the entry of not only dust but also extremely small particles such as smoke. It ensures stable operation of the projector in concerts or other events in which smoke generators are used.
Central lens positioning makes the PLC-HF15000L simple to install, with installation possible anywhere with a 360° rotation. Eleven optional lenses including wide angle, standard and tele-zoom lenses enable a wide range of image sizes from various distances.
When multiple projectors are required in a large venue or simulation applications, the Constant Brightness Output Control in the PLC-HF15000L corrects deviations in brightness among the projectors and maintains constant brightness, the Colour Matching function corrects variations in hue, and Edge Blending allows multiple images to be displayed on the same screen without borders, as a result multi-screen images appear natural with smooth, seamless image joints.

The SANYO PLC-HF15000L will be available in February through online resellers and SANYO's Pro AV dealers. Visit www.sanyo.com.au for more information.
