Move by Covermore Designs

The commitment to innovative design and manufacture of quality furniture at Covemore Designs continues to be the motivation behind the latest furniture collection ‘Move’.

In 2010 Covemore Designs introduced an internship programme designed to give young Australian designers the opportunity to develop their practical skills and gain experience in the industry.  

It was through this collaborative process with young interior designer Samantha Lloyd Holmes from Whitehouse Institute of Design, Australia ,that the ‘Move’ range was created.

Considerable effort, energy and patience was applied in prototyping and developing the product in order to meet design and quality requirements.  Over a twelve month period several models were tried and tested prior to launching the product in October 2010.  Important aspects included aesthetic, structural, ergonomic and environmental criteria. 

The skilled upholsterers and cabinet makers from Covemore Designs have successfully taken the design elements and produced a range that suits the modern Australian lifestyle, culture and environment.

The range features all Australian timbers, fabrics or leather with an emphasis on environmentally conscious criteria.  The coordinated range includes dining table, dining chairs, carver, occasional chair, nest of tables and the classic Z side table, offering full coordination across the collection
