Tascot at the Icehouse Bar

Uniweave carpets are just one of the many products that Tascot Carpets are showcasing at DesignBUILD in Melbourne this week from 23rd to 25th June.

Uniweave carpet was recently used in a project installed by Commercial Carpets for the National Sports Ice Skating Complex in Docklands, Melbourne.

Interior designer and architects RED Design Group specified Uniweave 100 broadloom carpet in Wellington Quality for the Icehouse Bar at the skating complex.

RED Design Group’s conceptual design was inspired by the idea of ice skaters creating random ice skating rings in and out of the carpet in specific colours. Tascot’s Uniweave carpet was to fit their design concept perfectly as long as it fit within the projects budget.
Tascot Carpets worked off CAD drawings supplied by the designer to make each roll of Uniweave carpet to fit each designated space.
Colin Bell of RED Design Group explained that even though the project had a tight budget they decided to make as bigger statement as possible with the carpet, for those entering the Icehouse Bar.

“Tascot was chosen because of their ability to work with the RED Design Group on developing a unique design and their history of quality and reliability within the hospitality industry. RED worked alongside the Tascot design team to produce a pattern that reflected the movement of skaters across the ice, with an end result that everyone within the team and especially the client were extremely happy with,” said Mr Bell.
