Crestron Digitalmedia DM-RMC-100-1 and DM-TX-400-3G Now Available

In response to dealer requests, the all-new DigitalMedia Room Controller is redesigned for even easier installation. Now available, the DM-RMC-100-1 includes all the same connectivity as the previous room controller, except the connectors are relocated to either side of the receiver. The new design allows more flexibility for cable runs and mounting location during installation. Dealers can now pull DM Cable outside of walls and take wider bends into the room controller, while surface mounting it on any flat surface.

"DM has been very popular and we wanted to give our customers what they've been asking for. So we designed the new box with that feedback in mind. Moving the connectors to the side not only helps relieve cable strain, but also makes the LAN port more accessible. It also lets you mount the RMC on any flat surface without cutting out the wall. The RMC-100-1 is much more flexible than its predecessor, suiting both commercial and residential projects," says Daniel Jackson, Marketing and Development Engineer at Crestron.

The DM-RMC-100-1 DigitalMedia Room Controller receives a DM signal over DM cable and outputs HDMI, while providing control and connectivity for USB HID, Ethernet, IR, RS-232, contact closures and sensors. The room controller can still be mounted to a 2-gang box if desired, but its connectivity does not require "behind-the-wall" real estate.

Now Available: DM-TX-400-3G DigitalMedia™ Wall Plate Transmitter
As we transition from analog to digital AV systems, solutions are needed to bring both worlds together into a single integrated solution. The new DM-TX-400-3G provides complete AV connectivity throughout the room in a standard 3-gang wall plate. Simply plug-in Macs, PCs, Blu-ray players, cameras – and other most popular sources - and transmit any mix of signals long distance over DM Cable. Whether at the conference table, podium or any seat around the room, a DM transmitter is conveniently located to deliver your content to the HD display.

Available AV inputs on the DM-TX-400-3G include HDMI, VGA, component video, composite video, computer audio, SPDIF audio and stereo RCA audio. Full surround sound audio can be handled by the HDMI and SPDIF inputs. The DM-TX-400-3G supports audio breakaway, enabling video and audio to be routed independently. The USB HID port enables control of computers located remotely.

"With everything that DM does, it was a challenge to fit it all inside a 3-gang box, but we did. We and our customers are very excited. This in-wall transmitter really is a workhorse and can handle almost anything you throw at it. DisplayPort, HDMI, surround sound, VGA, DVI, even USB - you name it, it can do it. And the thing I'm most proud of is its ability to handle HD resolutions, especially 1080p," says Justin Kennington, Product Line Manager for DigitalMedia.
