Mid 2013 has been set for the opening of the new boutique Grand Chifley Brisbane, part of a new generation of Chifley Hotels from the Constellation Hotels group.

The hotel, officially opening as the Mosaic Grand Chifley Brisbane, will complement its sister property in Adelaide, and will represent the first boutique hotel in the Constellation Hotels stable.

The 48 room boutique hotel will be positioned in Brisbane's Fortitude Valley and forms part of Leighton Properties' $150m mixed use Mosaic development, which also features a residential tower and more than 3000 square metres of retail and commercial space around a green urban courtyard.

Constellation Hotels managing director, Jonathan Wooller said the addition of the Mosaic Grand Chifley Brisbane "represents a very exciting step for Constellation Hotels, as we continue to expand the Grand Chifley brand into the boutique accommodation market".

"The Mosaic development provides an unparallel offering – to be at the centre of Brisbane's number one growth market that currently attracts over 180,000 visitors per week," Wooller said.

"Fortitude Valley is now recognised as the style and entertainment hub of Brisbane, reflecting our confidence in the market."

Wooller said the Grand Chifley Brisbane will offer a design experience coupled with world-class hospitality, incorporating the latest in sustainable thinking and materials, and a high eco-centric standard of energy efficient building design.
