Design Quintessence was formed in 1996 to provide a design consultancy to service the lighting and audio-visual industries. Later that same year we became acutely aware of the design limitations of locally manufactured truss available to the Australian market. To address these limitations we began importing, and subsequently manufacturing, MEC Truss for the Australian lighting, display and exhibition industries. Available for purchase and hire, MEC Truss soon filled the void that existed in this country, providing stylish solutions to a range of applications.

The Australian market has developed considerably since the mid-90’s and so has the Design Quintessence product range. Brand names like Global Truss, VMB and Encore allows Design Quintessence to serve a broader cross-section of the industry and provide an even greater range of solutions.
