Grafton District Services Club has recently finished Stage 3 of the Clubs’ Strategic Development Plan. This included: dining room extension and refurbishment, new sports bar and alfresco dining terrace overlooking bowling facilities, kids room, café and refurbished / upgraded kitchen.

Being part of the strategic development plan means the project fits into the Clubs longer term objectives and avoids costly ‘rebuilds’ when the Club embarks on further expansion/additions.

The design centres around creating a dining facility which is flexible and can adapt to cater for different uses. For example, by location and by improving the connection to the outside bowls facilities, the dining lounge/sports bar can be utilised during bowls. Previously the dining areas would have been closed up outside lunch and dinner hours.

The design incorporates ‘zones’ (utilising screens, different floor finishes, different furniture options, different ceiling design etc) to ensure a quality dining experience is delivered whether it be in peak or in quite period. It’s a feature which also provides the ‘regulars’ with a choice of seating as well as providing the club with the ability to cater for groups & private functions.

The contemporary interior built on the previous stages with the aim to create a casual, warm yet fresh look. The carpet references the local prevalence of the jacaranda tree and is a custom design by Brintons carpets.
