The refurbishment of Wentworth Park affectionately known as “Wenty Dogs” has surpassed expectations. The iconic Sydney landmark has undergone a 2.5 million dollar (6000sqm) interior facelift, encompassing three floors to compliment the recently refurbished grandstand and kennels.

The lower-ground bistro, ground floor TAB totes and bars and the level 1 members bar and function room underwent an overhaul to modernize the venue.

Flat-screens have been installed through-out to enable patrons’ to keep up to date with their pick’s chances.

Amazingly this project was delivered on time and on budget within the nine week programme. GRNSW (Greyhound Racing NSW) chairman Percy Allan has attributed the overwhelming success to the team being - North Constructions (building works), response-group (interior design) and the GRNSW General Manager of operations Darren Simpson, who managed the project from conception to completion.

Darren Simpson stated that, “The venue looks better than it ever has in its history and I am yet to hear one negative comment, which in this industry in unheard of.”
