Canvas Cocktail & Wine Bar in Brisbane's trendy Woolloongabba district introduces a sophisticated interpretation of small bar culture to the Brisbane crowd, utilising the award winning and international blend of experience brought by young entrepreneurs Marco and Emily Nunes, Tom Sanceau and Bonnie Shearston.
Take a front row seat at the onyx bar to watch bar masters carve ice directly from an impressive ice block; sink into one of the lounges and sample a drinks menu that includes boutique wine, craft beer, customised cocktails, punch bowls or absinthe fountains best shared; and enjoy a selection of ‘design your own’ food boards and tapas options that have been given the culinary tick of approval by the renowned celebrity chef Matt Moran.
Marco Nunes said it’s taken over 12 months of committed searching to select the Woolloongabba venue as the launching pad of their dream.
“As a team of four we’ve been developing and refining our concept for some time, but finding the right venue was critical for it to come to life,” Marco said.
“We’ve observed Brisbane residents starting to look for smaller venues outside of the Fortitude Valley precinct. Our research identified the residents of the Eastern suburbs didn’t have an appropriate venueand we believe they want a unique and intimate social experience as an alternative to the existing pubs and clubs.
“When we found this location nestled amongst some of Brisbane’s trendiest restaurants and shops, we knew we had found the home of Canvas,” he finished.
Woolloongabba was recently predicted in a national paper as being Brisbane’s most talked about suburb in the near future. The |
