Intimate, eclectic and bang-on funky!! Double Lucky is one of the first of the new breed of small bars popping up in Perth.

Slide on down the dodgy alley (don’t forget to check out the distinctive urban artwork) and make your way in to a hidden world far, far away from the tiresome troubles of mortgages, jobs, errant pets and nagging partners!

A wonderland of down and dirty design - Victorian furniture, Edwardian furniture and furniture stolen from their grandma’s shed meld snugly together under the warm glow of the vintage lamps and kick ass chandelier.

The concept and design was done by club owner Anthony Einfeld. Having been in the shopping centre development game for 15 years going through literally

hundreds or fit-outs with retailers, he had a very clear picture of what he wanted. Sourcing the furniture (in Perth) over a period of a few months was the real challenge.

Double Lucky provide live music every night – from sax players with DJ’s to full bands as well hosting a lot of functions. As such the sound requirements were a difficult proposition. The venue is predominately a cocktail bar and people have to be able to talk to each other without screaming as well as catering to a full dance floor on a Saturday night.

Instandt, a local provider, worked with Anthony over the first months of trade to get the sound just right. They were very hands on in trying and re-trying different speakers, desks, subs and other equipment Anthony didn’t understand to make sure they got the correct levels and clarity.
