The Crown Mahogany Room is an exclusive membership gaming club located on Level 1 of Crown Towers Hotel. Bates Smart has created premium gaming rooms with exclusive ground floor arrival lobby and dedicated lift.

The patrons’ experience begins upon arrival at the newly refurbished Porte Cochere and lift lobby, infused with the ambience of a six star resort. An expansive 10 metre high architectural void connects the hotel lobby to the Mahogany Room and features a contemporary bespoke chandelier designed by Bates Smart.

Bates Smart architecture and interior pay homage to the established Crown brand while creating a revitalised contemporary aesthetic. The interior celebrates the heritage of the room through rich references to equestrian themes and merges it with a vibrant botanical decor.

Sumptuous quilted and strapped leather upholstered walls define entries and adorn salon interiors while a visually arresting sandstone colonnade announces the threshold to the newly created space and bespoke facade.

These sandstone columns, resplendent with hanging plant life, rise eight metres to meet skylights which emit abundant natural light into the heart of the Mahogany Room. An intimate bistro dining room is discretely separated from the rooms activity by shimmering screens of delicately crafted mother of pearl. The hospitality experience is complimented by an expansive bar and lounge featuring a festive interior pavilion of woven leather and brass. A generous exterior terrace affords patrons full advantage of the panoramic vistas to the Yarra River, Southgate promenade and the city beyond.

The contemporary architectural aesthetic of the glass and sandstone east façade is uniquely distinctive to this property and integral to the Mahogany Room interiors and Crown Towers Porte Cochere.
