Nestled within the natural landscape of the Blue Mountains you will discover the new Springwood Sports Club. A stylish country club oasis offering numerous amenities to welcome you in.

Altis Architecture developed the complete new build from concept to reality, retaining the original design intent. This was to create a forum sympathetic with surroundings. The design evolved into a single level building with pitched roofs and pavilions, which help reinforce the country club experience. In doing this, most of the back of house areas and car park are hidden out of view underground.

The design inspiration was taken from the surroundings, with the use of timber, stone and the warm tones of autumn and winter. Once within the club you will find on offer gaming, (with alfresco gaming to follow) cafe, bar, bistro, bowlers lounge, alfresco terraces, lounge, children’s area and function rooms.

This is a country club which brings the outdoors in with an extensive glass facade, connecting you to the terraces and the landscape beyond.  As you enter through the double height, timber clad Porte Cochere you are greeted with glimpses of the warmth and richness within. Your journey continues with opulent fabric wall panels helping to guide you in.

Once inside the stone stack bar can quench your thirst and the servery can delight your taste buds. You may choose to relax by the feature stone fire in the lounge or step outside to the terraces to savour the view.

The bistro has now expanded and is made up of several pockets for patrons to dine in. Timber veneer table tops with rustic wrought iron legs, in conjunction with a feature laser cut timber sliding partition walls lead you into the spacious and layered function rooms.

Alfresco terraces can be found along the north-western façade creating street presence to the club through the use extensive timber and stone cladding;  the housing and display of the landmark – ‘water level indicator’, copper pipe detailing and a combination of timber and wicker furniture all adding the final layer.

The team worked closely with Project Works and Reed Constructions to provide the club with a highly efficient space, with the integration of materials, joinery, lighting all coming together to give Springwood Sports Club a new and fresh outlook.
