Well-known family owned hotel operators, The Bayfield Hotel Group, who own and run several major venues including the Newport Arms, has spent $10 million redeveloping the former President Hotel into the Belrose Hotel.
The Belrose Hotel features a spacious open plan bar area, a bistro serving great tasting, well-priced food, the largest ‘soft-play’ playground for kids in any hotel in Australia as well as live sport on big screens located around the venue.
The Belrose Hotel site is also the home of the second Bayfield’s bottle shop, and is the largest independent liquor store on the Northern Beaches.
Mr. Wayne Bayfield, Operations Director, The Bayfield Hotel Group said, “We’re extremely proud and excited to announce the opening of The Belrose Hotel. We believe it will offer something for everyone but most of all, we have created a venue that will make life easier for families.”
“With the largest indoor soft-play playground in an Australian hotel, The Belrose Hotel will enable families and friends to catch up over a bite to eat or a drink whilst the kids play. For those with babies and toddlers, we also have a parents’ room which is a rarity in any pub or hotel in Australia.
“We have an excellent bistro menu that offers a range of great tasting options such as mid-morning treats, deliciously light salads, the finest quality steaks, fresh quality seafood, gourmet pizzas and a special kid’s menu, all of which offer fantastic value for money.”
One of the features of the audio visual design was the use of a Crestron Control System. With over 50 televisions around the venue and 15 separate audio zones it was apparent an easy to use control system was required. Once Bayfield Hotels Director, Mr Mark Bayfield was aware of the Crestron systems capabilities it was soon decided that this system should also control the lighting both the electric and gas heaters along with the electric blinds and air conditioning systems.
This has greatly simplified the day to day operations of the venue and allows the staff to concentrate on what they are paid to do rather than trying to figure out how to operate all of the hotels systems.
