Located within a historical heritage building in Sydney, The Carters design had to adhere to the original Art Deco features with a contemporary edge to suit both day and night time patrons. The design had to be eclectic and innovative to the Sydney CBD, to attract a broader demographic to dine in, have a few drinks or stay well into the night.

As a heritage listed building, the challenges lay in the restrictions of heritage laws. Internal walls were not allowed to be touched, so other design features had to be considered as to not obstruct the original design features. The design was executed successfully, with the installation of feature PVC strips with printed graphics with freestanding gold scaffolding over the ground floor bar. The freestanding gold scaffolding was an eccentric design feature we knew would work well within the space with its high ceilings, as well as adhering to any heritage issues.

In the basement, bold graphics capture the eye as you travel downstairs, with lounge booth seating and a DJ booth for the night time crowd.
