Set in a heritage building of the highest significance, Sake restaurant and bar celebrates the contrast between refined, Japanese inspired design and rustic, early industrial aesthetics. Atmosphere, accessibility and functionality were key objectives in the design and the result is an enchanting space that invites and operates like a well oiled machine.

Sake offers a mixture of booth seating, bench-style communal seating, traditional dining, private dining and a section with traditional Japanese sunken tables. Classic Japanese motifs and joinery construction methods are referenced, deconstructed and appropriated with a modern twist. The shadowy

Zen garden welcomes you to the bar and the bespoke cherry blossom wall feature beckons you down the stairs to the dining area past the open kitchen and screened dining rooms.

A wall of stacked sake barrels sets the tone which is further enhanced by the temperature controlled sake room and antique sake kegs on display. The bronze stainless steel backlit louvres are softened by the smoked European Oak timber and South American granite used on the bar tops.
