Situated on Little Bourke street, Palermo is an Argentinian restaurant tucked below street level, offering an intimate and authentic dining experience.
Unearthing the bare bones beneath years of previous fitouts, the character of this tucked away venue starts to emerge. A dry aging steel framed display cabinet entices customers from the street and showcases the quality produce Palermo offers. Upon entry you are greeted with a textural material palette showcasing a cow hide feature wall, raw timber welcome desk with harlequin tiles offset by rich custom designed carpet which continues throughout the venue.
The design response tactfully responded to the existing site conditions by retaining and feature an Italian mural commissioned by a past restaurant tenant.
Patrons perch themselves at the marble and custom stitched leather kitchen bar and observe the unique Parrilla Grill in action before enjoying their meal.
