Established in the early 90’s, Caffe Sienna is recognised as one of Chapel Street’s most iconic restaurants. Situated on the most prized corner position in South Yarra, Sienna takes advantage of a sunny northerly aspect, with and indoor/outdoor dining aesthetic.
The brief was to redesign the main bar area to meet the demands of a busy breakfast through to late night trade. The owner wanted to give the venue a facelift, without changing the existing feel.
A palette of warm timbers including Jarrah and Tallow Wood provided a base to work from. Layers of texture were added over the timber with Bronze Mirror, black Cesar Stone and a striking Bar Shelf Detail in white Corian.
Clever lighting details including LED strip lighting, custom I-Do Linear pendants and I-Do wall lights create an ambient atmosphere for day time dining through to late night cocktails. A new feature screen in recycled Victorian Hardwood provides the backdrop to a fluted banquette that is already proving to be the most popular seat in the house.
