Cloudland has a dark secret…and it’s hidden in the basement.

Delicate furnishings, silk couture curtains, hand craved timber screens, leather chairs and intricate glass, wire and steel chandeliers lurk below in an opulent Aladdin’s cave inspired by nature.

The Cellar Bar, currently only open for private functions, is an intimate and luxurious masculine den sprinkled with light feminine features. Designed by Alexa Nice, it is a dark and handsome cousin of Cloudland’s three other glamorous floors that will appeal to all fine food and wine aficionados.

The colour tones of the bar all work with a rich earthy palette directly inspired by the natural beauty of the aged Porphyry and sandstone that wrap the walls and blends with polished fossilised marble and natural stone.

The stand out feature is the bedazzling ceiling structure, which consists of a unique design of over 150 stylised diamonds encrusted in white jade and mirrored stainless steel.

Two private wine rooms and three custom seating booths coupled with Executive Chef Gary Farrell’s avant guard style menu makes it de rigueur for luxe wine tastings and intimate gatherings.

Cellar Bar is furnished in true ‘Alexa Nice’ style with opulent booths, upholstered in rich, deep buttoned leathers, embellished silk curtaining and hand made wallpapers.

Most of the fixtures and fittings including furniture, loose cushions, flooring, walling, lighting, feature lighting sculpture and screens were custom designed and manufactured in China.

Textiles on upholstered wall panels were from Fusion Agencies, decorative silk curtains were manufactured by Parlor Furnishings,
leather was from JP Egan and Co and the upholstery was manufactured by Greg Hayes. Verde Agencies supplied some of the wallpaper whilst the feature wallpaper was custom made and hand applied on site by the designer.
