An inspirational new venue has recently opened in Brisbane which has raised the dining experience to new heights. The creation of Adonis and Nehme Ghanem, Fifth Element brings together a chic bar, al fresco dining lounge, and wine cellar. Utilising all the elements of fire, water, earth, wind, and the fifth – the vast arrays of liquid pleasures of wine, beer and spirits, Fifth Element is an experience to remember.

After the success of Byblos at Portside the Ghanem brothers decided it was time to develop a venue which could incorporate a wine bar and boutique cellar. “We wanted to achieve a unique offering which promoted the vast array of wine we have access to in Australia as well as amazing food.

Whilst I was travelling in Queenstown I stumbled across a boutique deli where 60 wines were showcased in an Enomatic wine preservation system. Originating from Italy this machine was the answer to how people could experience fine wines at any budget” says Nehme.

Fifth Element has been created around these wine machines with 5 situated through out the venue. The
machines preserve the wine uncorked for up to four weeks, allowing tasting over a period to occur without
tainting the wine.

Customers use a debit smart card activated at the bar to order their choice or try something new from a selection of 60 wines.
