Carmine and Co is located in an upcoming area by the Port River, north west of Adelaide, 15 minutes from the city center. The area is bohemian with a creative influence and developmental interest in the area is now evident.

The owners have operated in the area for almost 30 years and the approach was to create a bustling traditional Italian environment reminiscent of the espresso bars and comfortable eating spaces synonymous with authentic cooking and fabulous coffee.

The client experienced council delays, design decisions and project management prior to the designers involvement with the project.

The client commenced the project with no program. Inarc commenced midway through the project to trouble shoot the design, timeline and budget.

Chair Punton by Ton

The main part of this classic Punton line is a round seat. The author took it from the concept of traditionally bent furniture and put it in contrast with straight legs. Designer: Tom Kelley.

The selection of materials form the ‘ingredients’ of the scheme and unify the design direction. Use of natural timeless materials such as stone, timber always creates a warm ambient space.

The bar counter creates a cohesive project element. The mosaic is geometric, black and white and simply stunning.

The diamond pendants lights are impressive in design, light in framework and gold – ahead of trend. Other special features include old red brick walls, spotted gum timber, and granite floor tiles.
