Once a decrepit Thai restaurant, this new pan-asian venture has subtle ties to street-food and street-atmosphere. Small “cobblestone” floor tiles create a literal street through the tenancy, linking the main bar with the dining room under a layer of undulating feature ply discs.
The operable windows frame the street art outside and connect the space to its greater urban context.
Exposed concrete ceilings pay homage to the original typology of the building, which is further accentuated by exposed copper services throughout.
Warm leather fittings, dark timbers and ply paneling soften the space, while exposed filament lighting creates an atmospheric mood which reflects the ambiance of the street outside.
