Located in bustling Burnley, Studio Y’s latest project, Street Kitchen, showcases food from the world’s street markets amidst a colourful and spirited design.

Studio Y. carried out a complete interior renovation to create an interpretation of the city landscape through gutsy colour and graphics. Bold yellows and blacks sit alongside graphic light boxes, bus shelter-inspired booths and hand-painted columns.

The brief was to create a hotspot to suit both day and night time that would appeal to corporate clientele as well as tradies and locals. Inspired by the maps and energy of some of the world’s largest cities, Studio Y. drew upon the graphics and imagery of streets that are recognisable globally.

Street Kitchen brings the world’s street markets to Melbourne by offering fast, fresh and flavour-filled food with their philosophy, ‘global tastes made local.’

Studio Y. brought this concept to life with a cohesive, bright and audacious design that’s quickly become a welcome addition to the Swan Street dining scene.

ILANEL, was commissioned by Studio Y. and Street Kitchen’s owners to fabricate various light fixtures for their new Burnley branch. As Studio Y. drew upon the world’s street markets, ILANEL  finalised their original concept by fabricating street-like-lighting.

Custom Lamps

ILANEL created few black floor lamps, featuring multiple arms fitted with mouth blown glass shades, bold yellow wall sconces and hero trough fixtures.
