Dubbo RSL Club was recently refurbished by Split Watermelon Design. Given the quant and small town vibe of Dubbo, Split Watermelon sought to develop a modern take on a charming rural Club.
The finishes are clean and considered. White tiles, timber floors and stone detailing are far from traditional in this space.
Updating a conservative memorial wall is also a key design feature and was achieved through clever floor and wall mosaics in the shape of the iconic Poppy. This invites Patrons to experience the RSL history in a new and visually interesting way.
Modern Country is expertly executed through the furniture, supplied by Mint Contract Furniture. Funky tile inlays in communal tables, pops of classic prime colours like red and yellow and lavish upholstery surround a beautiful log fireplace in the main lounge. The mixture of dining and lounge furniture as well as the occasional cool ottoman makes this space feel truely balanced between a charming country Club and a modern family friendly space.
